@ Pixie : use SABnzbdGUI, it's just a menu item and can hide the dock.

http://www.pwsoftwareproductions.nl/site/node/5/

the other way to do it is to manually install sabnzbd (you'll need Xcode, and to install the few prerequisites.

No, I know how to open a .app from CLI, but that will just bring hte app up. I would like to start it from CLI without anything visual happening in the Finder.
Just like hella: no graphical interface, just CLI...

@ Pixie

You can start any file/app from cli by just typing open SABnzbd.app for example. From thereon you can use the web interface. Or isnt that what you had in mind?

I just hella in the past as well.

Don't know if this has been requested: a daemon mode would be very handy. :)

For the moment I run hellanzb on a remote machine and control it via SSH, but since their development seems somewhat halted, I would like to switch to sabnzb. However, I would like to run it in a daemon mode.

So "just" the ability to start it via CLI would be nice. :)

I'm having the same problem as Nick. SSL really slows down compared to the non-encrypted download speeds.

Feature Request, SABnzbd only UNRAR if possible possible !!

Sure 2GB RAR could be 2,3,4 unpacked, but

It trys also to UNRAR a 2GB download if the drive only have 1 GB or 100MB free.

Every human knows that 2GB packed not fits in less than 2GB unpacked, why a have to wait a long time for the Error report, Stage Unrar
[RAR-INFO] zry-sr: => ERROR: write error, disk full?

This Report have to show befor UNRAR, something like, ERROR, unrar impossible, disk too full!
