Some users had issues with SABnzbdX 1.2 release.
I’ve changed the defaults settings to check for SABnzbd on localhost:8080 without any user/pass.
If you have some issues, delete (or rename) this file :
/Users/<yourname>/Library/Preferences/org.sabnzbdx.team.plist
and restart SABnzbdX, this will reset Preferences settings.

The status menu in the English version shows “xxx Mo”, which should be MB.

Does this not work with the new version?

Pile of shite.
Just locks up on my box and has to be killed off to quit it.
Fail.
Try again…

I never normally comment, but for the sake of future users: ignore h00tz- I have this running on three different Mac, two Intel, one PPC, and it works fine.

Hi!
My statusbar is now showing an actual download. It used to give some info about speed and such! Heeelp!

Hi!
I rarely ever comment on blogs but this tool is a god sent for every NZBing mac user!
Thank you for developing and maintaining it.
One question though: The ’speed’ section in the preferences does not say what the number is in, kB, MB, bytes? (default is 1000 so i presume it is 1000kB as in 1MB/s (ish) but i think it would be good to clarify that.
Also what does this setting do? Is it only in effect when using the ‘Limit Speed’ option?
Thanks again. Awesome app!

The ‘Start SABnzbd’ option only works if when SABnzbd is located at /Applications/SABnzbd+.app/.
Could you add an option for us to set the path to SABnzbd (even if it is hidden away in the .plist)?
Mine is located at /Applications/Internet/Newsreaders/SABnzbd+.app/.

@all: Thanks for you good comments !
I try to keep settings easy as possible.
@meemorize : I’ll fix that in a later release, thanks to point it
@deizel : It was an option on early release, but I was the only one using it, so I’ve decided to hide it, now we are two

Hi,
Sabnzbd 0.4.9 is out, it now requires an API Key for any 3rd party addons to authenticate to it for security reasons.
At the moment SABnzbdX does not function and will never function with 0.4.9 and up until this API Key is implemented.
http://www.sabnzbd.org/2009/04/16/sabnzbd-049-has-been-released/
Reason for the API Key : http://secunia.com/advisories/34537/
Thought I’d let you know.
Also, it would be nice that along with the growl announcement that the download has started or ended, it would be very nice if it said what started and what ended. Something like “Servername: NZB name has started downloading” and “Servername: NZB name has finished downloading”
Also it would nice that you could give a friendly name to each server, so that instead of blahblah.blahblah.com:8080 or localhost:8080 appearing in the menu and in the growl announcements. You could have like “My Server” or if there is only the localhost one, maybe have an option to hide the server entry completely from growl and the Menu.
Great little extensions by the way.
Keep up the great work.

Hi, SABnzbd+ 0.49 broke SABnzbdX…
It’ll be great if you add an option to start the “Secondary User Interface”, with a new entry in the menu or with option key while selecting Start SABnzbd…
Thanks for this fine app!

Just seconding the call for SABnzbdX to be updated to work with 0.4.9. This is such a fantastic tool, I really miss it!
