Thanks a lot for this, I’d been missing it! Seems to work fine so far.

  2. zito Says:

    Thanks a lot!

  3. zito Says:

By the way, drag and drop works fine for entering the API key…

  4. Mark Says:

What’s an API key? It says “read carefully on this” but I can’t see any info…

  5. Fre Says:

The api key is provided in SABnzbd 0.4.9, check your general settings.

Thanks for the update, it works great.
I only have one bug, when I start SABnzbdX it automatically limits SABnzbd to 220KBps instead of giving it my full speed. SABnzbdX shows no speed limit in its settings and I have to manually remove it from the web interface.

  6. rAf Says:

@Mark : I’ve forgotten the link, fixed now.
@Fre : SABnzbdX do not set speed limit on startup, this is strange, I’ll check that. Does anybody else have this issue ?

  7. jtu Says:

Regarding the API key issue: I’m supposed to tell the 3rd party program (sabnzbdx, in this case) about my current key. Just where is it supposed to go? It’s not in the preferences. Nor could I find a .plist file in the package to put it. Enlightenment, please?

  8. rAf Says:

An “API key” field has been added on SABnzbdX preferences panel.
Just enter the API key provided by SABnzbd on config/general in this field.

  9. jtu Says:

@rAf: A properly named input field right where one would expect it. I’m sorry. I’ll have my eyes checked on occasion. :) Please consider that question unasked. Thank you anyways!

  10. Darwin Says:

If you download the “sabnzb” you currently (may 2009) get as the first hit from google you will get version 1.0.6, which doesn’t have the “API Key” field. That was my problem, so this comment is for anyone who made the same mistake and then googled the error message.

I cannot get it working with a remote host. I have it on the same network and SABnzbd works fine. API key is configured. Is this working with remote host? Growl?

  12. samourai974 Says:

    Hi,
work for me with the API key!
great job for Salamantis but i prefered the old icon (big yellow arrow)
    Very pleasant application SABNZBDX!

You don´t have puplished my German Translation. )-:

  14. Dirk Says:

Thank you very much for this great tool!! I’m running SABnzbd locally, but it needs to listen to the (fixed) IP my iMac got from the router. Under preferences (in SABnzbdX), I added this IP (and port) as new Host. Also, I entered the API key. For some reason I’m not able to start SABnzbd. Pausing, resuming and stopping SABnzbd is no problem. Of course this is not a big thing, but I would be grateful for any thought on what might be causing this?

  15. rAf Says:

Dirk : Yep, I’ve had to make choice, localhost or 127.0.0.1 or 0.0.0.0 are the only local values possible, if you specify something else, it will be considered as external, not perfect but conveniant for most users, try to add your IP as localhost in your host file, it should work…

Prof.Dr.Luigi : sorry I’ve forgotten, I’ll try to update soon

  16. Tarma Says:

Is it possible to disable the upload / download counter from sabnzbdx in the status bar?

I’m using istat menus to show my total upload / download.

  17. rAf Says:

@Tarma : not possible in this release, sorry

  18. Tarma Says:

@rAf: Hopefully in the next one? :D

  19. Nakor Says:

When Im using SABNZBD+, the sorting feature isnt working. Now everything is dumped into the download folders. Bug or am I missing something?

  20. rAf Says:

When adding a new nzb with SABnzbdX, default category is affected, it’s maybe the cause of your troubles.

  21. dope.priest Says:

Thanx for a great app :)

I sometimes limit the speed of SABnzb, and later forget to change it back to None.
Would be cool if SABnzbX (new) icon changed color to indicate a Speed Limit is applied.

    Thanx again.

  22. Gundan Says:

Can I configure it to work with the 0.5 Alpha 2?

  23. rAf Says:

@dope.priest : good idea why not ! I’ll try to keep it in mind

    @Gundan : yep it’s working with 0.5 alpha 2, just don’t specify apikey, it’s not working in alpha 2.

  24. andreas Says:

The latest release of SAVnzbdPlus 0.4.11 says that there were changes made to the API function that may break third-party add-ons. Can anyone verify that this version 1.2.2 will continue working after updating to 0.4.11? I’ve really come to reply on the GUI and would hate to lose it.

  25. rAf Says:

Don’t worry 1.2.2 works with ALL versions of SABnzbd even future 0.5.x.

  26. Gundan Says:

This version of Sabnzbdx works fantastic with 1.5 alpha 2. I just found about this product and I am quite thrilled with it.

  27. sev Says:

Can’t get the advanced function “Force newzbin bookmark” to work. Otherwise this works fine. Running 0.4.11

  28. Dan Says:

    Hey
Just got onto SABnzbd+ and SABnzbdX looks good, but for me I can’t get it to work. Can download with SABnzbd+ no problems but when I try to open SABnzbdX nothing happens. I know there is no window or dock icon, but I’m not even getting a menu bar icon. What am I doing wrong?
